“The purpose of providing a public recreation or pleasure ground for the use and benefit of the inhabitants of Cannock, the majority of those inhabitants being “workers in or about Coal Mines and their dependents” Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document Cannock Public Recreation and Pleasure Ground is an area of land known as Cannock Park. The park grounds are maintained for the objects set out in its governing document. The Trustees in making decisions about the Trust make those decisions with due regard to the objects of the Trust In addition they have due regard to their legal duty to carry out the Trust’s charitable purposes for the Public Benefit. The Trust has no assets but the Local Authority maintains the land on which Cannock Public Recreation and Pleasure Ground Trust covers. The donation of the Local Authority grounds maintenance is included in the Trust Annual Accounts return to the commissioners.

Along with smaller elements of income collected by the Local Authority for recreation and pleasure related activities occurring on the Trust land. This income being applied to the costs associated with maintaining the Trust land and associated infrastructure.
