The Oliver Hind Club is constituted by Deed of Trust and is a registered Charity number 522276. Its
address is The Oliver Hind Club. Edale Road. Sneinton, Nottingham. NG2 4HT. The Charity
Trustees during the year to 31 st De￿mber 2024 were:_

The Secretary to the Trustees is Mrs Elaine Jones. The Trust Deed allows for up to nine Trustees to
be appointed, the Trustees are permanent appointments. New Trustees are appointed by the
existing Board of Trustees.
The object of the Charity is to provide acttvities ft>r boys and girls primarily in the area of Sneinton,
Nottingham. The Trustees policy is to ensure that the highest quality of community service is
available to beneficiaries.
The Club is very grateful to donations from friends and business people towards the upkeep and
maintenance of the running of the Club, buildings and facilities for the benefit of youth activity in the
Sneinton Area.
The Oliver Hind Club holds the Oliver Hind Club Campsite Realisation Fund, a restricted fund which
may only be used for the specific purpose of acquiring a freehold or leasehold interest in altemative
premises for the Oliver Hind Club, upon expiry of the lease of the Club's current premises.
The Capital of this fund cannot be used for any other purpose, including investment in, or
rnaintenance of, the Club's existing premises, nor may it be applied to meet the Club's routine
operating costs. The income generated from the Fund is modest and, while the income may be
applied to support the Club's general running costs. it does not cover the Club's overheads and
provides no meaningful financial support for the Club's day to day activities.
The Club buildings are currently on a long peppercom lease from the Local Authority and no current
use value is placed on the buildings as rt is not anticipated that they will not be used for the activities
of the Club in the foreseeable future.
Finances
The attached financial statements show the current state of the finances which the Trustees consider
to be satisfactory at the year end reporting date.
The Charity's Bankers are National Westminster Bank Plc.
The Charity's Solicitors are Knights Plc, Friar Lane, Nottingharn.
The Independent Examiner is Mr I Stokes. Grantham, Lincolnshire.

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
The finanGial staternents have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in
accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice, Accounting and Reporting by
Charities {SORP 2005) and applicable accounting standards. The principal accounting policies
adopted in the preparation of the financial statements are as follows:_

except when donors specify that donations and grants are for particular restricled purposes.

Following the move of the Club premises from Dakeyne Street, Nottingham to Edale Road,
Nottingham, and the long lease granted on the premises by the Local Authority, the Charity
Commissioners instigated the purchase of the investments. as held, to ensure (a) a fund for the
continuance of the Club when the lease ran out and (b) income towards the maintenance of the
Club for its day to day expenses.
