CHARITY COMMISSION FOR ENGLAND AND WALES Independent examiner's report on the accounts Section A Independent Examiner's Report Report to the trustees/ members of WYLAM INSTITUTE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION On accounts for the year ended 31 MARCH 2024 Charity no (if any) 522167 Set out on pages FINANCIAL REPORT & RECEIIPTS and PAYMENTS 1/4r2023_ 31r3/2024 I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity ("the Trusf) for the year ended 31 March 2024 Responslbllltles and basis of report As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ("the Act"). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying oth my examination, I have followed all the applicable Direth'ons given by the Charrty Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examlner's statement come to my attention in connection wrth the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: Ihe accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Chanties Act,. or the accounts did not accord wrth the accounting records; or the accounts did not comply wrth the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any re,quirement that the accounts give a 'true and fairf view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection wrth the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. Trustees, Annual Report for the period 11412023 to 31r312024 Charity name: Wylam Institute Community Assoeiation Charity registration number 522167 Wylam Instithte Community Association Trustees manage Wylam Institute as a village hall and community centre for Wylam and the surrounding area. The Institute is open to all ages. sexes. ethnicities and creeds. The Trustees are elected or re-elected yearly at the AGM from members of the association, who make a modest donation annually. The Building and Land Holding Trustee is the Charity Commission. The Association is a member of the West Northumberland Community Buildings Consortium and Community Action Northumberland. The Independent Examiner did not need to highlight any material matters of concern in his report on the accounts for the period. The Trustees thank the granting bodies for the funds received.
