**MINUTES OF AGM FRIDAY 11th JUNE 2021 2.00pm**
## **COVID 19 SOCIAL DISTANCING RULES WERE FOLLOWED AND ALL WERE COMFORTABLE WITH THESE ARRANGEMENTS. NO REFRESHMENTS WERE SERVED**
PRESENT:
Rosemary White (Chair), Janet Corcoran (Secretary), Caroline Hunt (committee ) Elaine Spikings (Treasurer), Sally Grant (Sibsey W.I.), Cllr Joy Ladds (Sibsey Parish Council), Sue Burr (Sibsey Singers and Social events)
1. Mrs White welcomed everyone to the meeting.
2. Apologies. Fenella Howard (Country Road Quilters), Jill Line (Trustee), Lis Harwood (Country Road Quilters)
Robert Baldwin (Scout committee), Helen Scott (Scouts), no contact made.
3. Minutes of the last meeting were agreed by all and signed by the Chairman.
## 4. **Chairman’s report** .
Welcome and thank you all for being here this afternoon and surviving! Reading through my report from last year I realise how little we anticipated the future. The Insurers, Pat testers, Government (via East Linsey District Council), Electricians and Groundsmen have all contributed to keeping the Hall in it’s present pristine condition and ready for action.
The Committee have tried to interpret the changing rules and regulations, along with all their contradictions, to the best of their ability. We are all looking forward to ‘full freedom’ and hopefully, from September all will return to ‘normal’. During August of last year we were planning ahead – how these hopes have been dashed!
However, since the partial lifting of Lockdown, we have restarted the greatly missed coffee mornings and exercise classes. We have been able to welcome back the 6[th] Boston Cubs and Scouts. The Parish Council was due to restart meetings last week but were forced to postpone until 15[th] June. It was lovely to be part of the Sibsey Singers this week, enjoying a
non-singing meeting to socialise and plan ahead. We are hopeful that the W.I. and Country Road Quilters will fully resume from September.
Sadly I have not heard from the Stickney Surgery Jack and Jill Club, but sincerely hope they will regroup in the fullness of time.
My great sadness is that the Northlands Play Pals failed to materialise. I feel strongly the need for a pre-school group for parents, carers and children. We have equipment, storage space and availability. All it needs is an organiser/co-ordinator/instigator to lead the way. Before too long we would like to use our pristine kitchen to serve lunches to pre-booked diners.
As with all buildings of a certain age, we have to assess and update constantly. The kitchen is now complete, the major work there, being to raise the floor and ensure it was safe to stand on. In August the front storeroom will be refitted. One great success has been the frost protection measures we have invested in.
Moving forward we need to update our conference chairs as we need them to be covered in a cleanable material. More flexible use of the outside gated area is also envisaged.
I would like to thank everyone for their support, without you this hall would not function – all the hirers, Joy, Elaine, Ross, Terry, Janet, Terry B, Caroline, Ann, Brian, Sally, Rebecca, Sue, Andrew, Ben, to name but some.
5. **The Accounts** - Elaine has once again prepared the accounts and we are most grateful to her for doing this essential task. We have a healthy Bank Balance given that we took full advantage of all available grants and subsidies. Monies have been very prudently managed with the very best value for money secured when any work is undertaken. All present agreed the accounts and were very happy with the management of this.
## 6. **Secretary’s report**
Janet Corcoran reported on the success of grant applications and the ongoing vigilance to ensure we have the best value for money regarding utility bills. Tritton Knoll Plaque now displayed. Food preparation and hygiene training has been completed (online) and certificates will be displayed. All signs and risk assessments relating to Covid 19 have been completed and displayed. Lunch Club organisation is being looked at very carefully given that we have a rather depleted team due to illness.
7. **Election of Oficers** - Officers and committee remain as above.

Sue expressed the desire to begin Hoy Bingo or alternative social activities as soon as possible

Joy thanked Rosemary for her energy, drive and determination and her great skill with co-ordinating the many activities and improvement works.
Sally thanked all committee members for their hard work and expressed her appreciation for the improvements made to the Hall.
