This AGM is being held apkvoximatety 10 after the la< and it is envw that the next w¢ll
also be held after a 1fkFTh)nth Fer￿. This will alkyw the nexi AGM to bè held in late April l earty May
as was the nomi before the disruption caused by Covid.
In September 2021 we were able to IFold the Annual Gala. whth was a success, with gcod weather,
despite the Paras having to pull out at short no￿ due to oper*ional commitments. A substantial
proffit was made, and l thank Laura and her Team for the ￿JanIs8th￿ and particularty for obtaining
sponsorship which removed any financkil risk. Although at first we thought that we would not be able
to hold the Annual CayttK)rpe versus Amry Fwtball Match, many Veterans sts'll attended our event
and they hurriedly fomxd a Team to allsx the tradilion to be maintained.
wrth the assistance of a Grant from the Football Trust we were abl8 to wrcha6e t￿￿ shipping
Containers to overcome our long-StarKliNJ shortage of Storage spw. Thanks to Andy Crawley for
obtaining Ihe Grant, and also for obtsiniFVJ assislance from Mr Strwerby to construct the base and
from Rainthorpe Transport to off-load and F*)8ition the ￿￿taIners, both free of charge. Subsequenuy
much of our own &]uipmenl ha$ been F*ed in one container, the other provides a facillty for the
Junior Football Club. Hodging has been planted around the ￿nts￿￿rn, and 8evoral people have
me along to water IL and it appears to ￿ gr(ywing well.
In late Septemb8r the Football Season startsd. after Covid de18ys, and we had three Adult Teams
playing on Saturday8 and Sundays. in addition to a Cafftrw & Fulbeck Youth Team, all playlng on
the Senior Pitch. The Junior Pitch was also used for matches and training by Tea￿0 of younger
Players. It is apparent that there are fewer Senior Teams in each League, resurting in fewer
matches for Team, which pemiitted the apparently higher use of tho Pitch. This needs to be
monllored as,11 the Leagues were to expand again to the numb8fB of a few yearn ago, we would need
to revèrt to trwo Aduft and one Youth Tea￿￿ to Safeguard the fiehj.
The Cricket Season 18 proc88ding, wilh one Senior Team and Junlor Teams ot tho Und•r 9, 10, 11 &
13 age groups. Senior players are pnjvsding much of the effort required to prepare the"Square', and
one. Sandy Ireland, is again dona¢ing Diasel fuel fty the trxtor and rolkn 88¥ing us a large sum at
current pump pricesl
The Walking Group have been able to resu￿0 after COVKI, and the Monday moming walk8 are agaln
proving popular, I￿loWed by tea and coffee in the Pavilw.
Earty in th1$ year. we purchased new PICn￿ be￿8s. which have provthl popuLqr. We have hopefully
addressed SO￿ of the litter problern with the purchase of new littér bins. these fitted wilh anti-bird
flaps to prevent tho plgeons and pulling the litter from the bins, especialty after Fish & Chip van
These developments of our facilty were possible due to cwr carefulty managed finances. of which we
will hear more sho￿.
As u$ual the Corniittee have maintained the buildir#J and the f*ld to the best of our abilty. and hav8
arranged PAT testing of dectrical equipnEnt arKI inspecfl￿ of fire prevenllon alarrrts and servicing of
extinguishers as required.
