It Is Important to note that over the past few years. the playin8 fiekl has run at a loss. The grants that we recel¥ed durlng the pandemlc are belrE used to Invest improvlng the facilities and 8rounds, somethln8 that we'd have to of completed over a number of years. To date, we've renewed the non-$1Sp floorlng In the main hallway, mens toilets and corrldor in pavilion. We've added a baby changing unlt In the disabled toilets. Extra new picnlc benches. made from recycled plastlc and memorial benches wlll be arrivin8 during the sumrner. Plannin8 pemis5ion Is belng sou8ht for extra storage for the Football Club. A new sight screen for the grounds to allow County Games to be played at the 8round. New comrnercial 8azel)o's for use at the Gala and Dash and flnalfy we are looking at rePlaUnaddlnB new litter blns. Other than the Parish Councll grant which we appty for on an annual basls, all of our Income Ss generated throu8h fundraisin8 and lettlng our grounds and pavllk)n. Thls year we are also supporti4 the Social aub with a l(KJ% rent reduction, to be reviewed In September, due to the efferts of the pandemic. Before we finish it must emphasised that although our bank account look5 healthy, the funds that we have worked very hard to ralse are not as robust as people rnay assume them to be. It's a flne balancin8 act to ensu that we have funds for the years ahead should we return to runnlng at a loss as in previous years. We have been succe55ful in gaining covid grants, however. this was an extraordinary situation that will not. in all likelihood happen again. so we need to mana8e those fund5 with an eye towards the future too.
