The Group ensures that each section
(Beavers, Cubs and Scouts) is fulfilling its
role in providing all young people with
activities to promote the Values of Scouting
and the Scout Method. It does so by
providing support to the Section Lead
Volunteers and the Group Lead Volunteer.
The district also provides activities and
opportunities for our young people to mix
with others from neighbouring scout groups.

The Group is managed by the Group
Trustee Board, the members of which are
the 'Charity Trustees, of the Scout Group
which is an educational charity. As charity
trustees they are responsible for complying
with legislation applicable to charities. This
includes the registration, keeping proper
accounts and making returns to the Charity
Commission as appropriate.
This Group Trustee Board exists to make
sure the charity is well-managed, risks are
assessed and mitigated. buildings and
equipment are in good working order, and
everyone follows legal requirements and the
organisation's policies and rules. Their
support helps other volunteers run high
quality and safe programmes that gives
young people skills for life.

Each section meets On￿ a week during
school temi and has delivered an age-
appropriate activity programme in
accordance with the aims and objectives of
scouting. The activity programmes are
overseen by the Group Lead Volunteer.

I report on the accounts of the I Ibstock Scout Group for the year ended 28 February 2025
Respective responsibilities of charity trustees and examiner
As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the
Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
It is my responsibility to:
. Examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act
. Follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for
Northern Ireland under section 65(9)0)) of the Charities Act
State whether any material matters have come to my attention.
Basis of examiner's statenient
I have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and my examination
was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northem
Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act. The examination included a review of the accounting
records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included
consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in thc accounts, and seeking explanations from you as
charity trustees concerning any such mattcrs.
My role is to state whether any rnaterial matters have come to my attention giving me cause to believe:
l. That accounting records were not kept as required by section 63 of the Charities Act
2. That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records
3. That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the ChaTities Act
4. That there is fLUther inforn￿tIon needed for a proper undersLqnding of the accounts to be reached.
Independent examiner's statement I have completed my exatnination and have no concerns Èn respect of the
matters (l) to (4) listed above and, in connection with following the Directions of the Charity Commission
for Northern Ireland, I have found no matters that require drawing to your attention.
