## Treasurers Report 2021

For the Financial year of 1[st] of April 2020 to 31[st] March 2021

Considering what we have all endured over the last year we have survived albeit from receiving Government grants to keep us going through the lockdowns and to restart after lockdown.

The funds our bank on 31[st] March was £27,205.27 which was divided between our main account 23,959.22 and our two other deposit accounts, the international fund has been depleted with donations for the scouts attending Euro Jam and now stands at £2026.22 and our other account which is for funds for future developments £1219.83. Looking also deeper into the expenditure we spent much more than we earned if we discount the grants in as such, we earned just under 9000 but spent more than 11000. Therefore, we need to proceed with caution and utilise the current surplus to future proof the group and our building for the benefit of the group. Thanks also to the government grants we were able to offer a 50% refund on the subs for the year.

The Scout Centre is also used regularly by external user groups such as First Aid Training and Yoga classes as well as the other classes and private parties during the day. We hope that Centre Users continue to use our centre in the future.

The Scout Centre is also available for anyone to hire, please contact the Chairman for availability (bjmorrow@ntlworld.com). Another way we raise money is through our Bonus Ball Scheme which runs at £4 per month, with the winning number attracting a prize of £20. Details of this can be found with any Leader or Group Executive Member to join the bonus ball all it needs is to set up a standing order for £4 per month.

I will continue to keep a tight reign of the finances and look forward to serving the group through the next financial year.
