1st 114th Warrington West Scout Group Annual Report and Ac¢uunt For the Year Ended 31 December 2024 Group Leadership and Trustees Role Name Group Lead Volunteer C'.aig Monks Beaver Leader Ruttri Gosney Cub Leader Grahain Hughes Scout Leader Kelvin Cannon-Brown Chairperson Vacan1: Treasurer Craig Monks Auditor Ir K. K.ane Bankers Barclays, 23-25 Golden Square, Warrington Treasurer's Report On behalf of the trustees, I present the financial report for the year ending 31 December 2024. I'm pleased to report a positive year forthe Group. We ended the year with a small surpLus-just over £100, shoviing an improvement on the previous year. This was helped by some welcome dOnat￿OnS rhrough employee workplace giving schemes, which enabLed us to invest in riew eciuipment and subsidise a number of activities and events for the young people. Membershlp and Subscriptions Membership numbers inf4rea8ed duringthe year, leadingto an £800 rise in subscription incL)ryie compa-ed to 2023. While this is encouraging, it does mean that our capitation fees t'or 2025 ivill increase accordingLy.

Facilities and Rent The situation with the new building remains unchanged: no work has commenced. and we still hold just over £1? 500 ring-fenced for the rebuild. Discussions have now begun J* with Vistri regarding a pctential move to a new site, which we hope will gain momentum in the comingyear. Utility costs rema'.ned st.4bLe throughout the year. However. we started paying rent for use of the District HI), arilounting to approximately £350 more than last year. Despite this. our overall financial posi':ion remains stable. Subscrlption StrLlCture We have continued the praLti,=e of including annual capltatlon fees in the monthly subscriptions. These are now filtered out separately. providing clearer visibility of our core income and FieLping 8nsiire smootherfinancial pLanning. Looking Ahead Our strategy remainr focused on: Reviewing long-term options for our meeting place Monitoring dFvelcprnents in the area (e.g. new lease agreements, housing proposals) Planningforfuture. equipment storage and land use Recruiting,'3cdition8L ti'ustees and key volunteers to strengthen the board Growing our rnenibersliip base to boost income Acknowledgement5 FinalLy, I would like to exr.Iress my sincere thanks to all of the leaders and volunteers who have supported the Group over the past year. Your dedication and enthusiasm are what keep the Group thriving. I continue to look for someone to hand over the reins to but until then. I'm gratefLII for your continued support.
