3" HINDtEY BOY Scout GROUP.
Financial Year I" April 2023 - 3 l¥[ March 2024
On the 4th of June 2023 our secretary sadjy passed away. Sarah Heaton volunteered for
the poslrlon and was elected on 10/1 1/23.
The trustees annual meerlng took place on I P Aprll 2024 and rhe following trustees were
present, Norn]an Brown, Roben Naylor, Parrlcia Wlldon, Sarah Heaton. Gary Naylor, Stuart
Farley and Helen Knlght.
We hold an AGM each year where the annual accounts are agreed, the last one belng on 4
Sepieniber 2024.
The purpose of our charlty15 to promote Scouting In accordance wlth the Scout Aysoclatlon
rules. We are governed by Royal Charter.
'rhe Group pursue5 Indoor and ouidoor aeilvliles for Beaver, Cub and Scout sectlon8.
'rhese actlviiles not only eneourage our young people to work In a leam environment but
a180 to oqulp them wlih knowledge and skllls. Thls In tum boogls thelr 8eif.confldence
for later Ilfe.
We are a non-denomlnatlonal group and are not affiliated to a Church or school. We rely
on sub8cr5pilons, Grants, Grant Ald and fundralslng for our Income. We have a solAd
rfinanclal base dnd do not onvlsage any flnanclai rlsk to our group In the future.
The 3￿ Fllndley Group Is run solely by volunteers, ￿0w1n8 to 100 memberg. The leaders,
helpers. commliree members and tn￿tee8 glve freely of thelr tlme to ensure the smooth
runnlng of ihe Group. Thv leaders, be$ldes attendlng plannlng meeilngs and compulsory
tralnlng such as Safety/ Safeguardlng, also quallfy In spoNlng dlsclpllnes such as archery,
and kayakjng. We alm io glve our members a chance lo ewertence alternailve lelsure
pursults and to equlp them Mdih Ilfe skllls and goals to Work towards.
Our Income covors the malntenanee of the Inlerlor and exterlor of the bulldlng and uililry
bllls. We rwo vehlcles., the running Costs are also met by the Group. We also Subsldlse
camps and actlvltlos.
We were fortunate enough to recelve a grant from the H1n￿eY & Abram Grammer School
Foundatlon io purchase a newer vaTh Thls grant was for £20,IKM).00. Wo had applled for a
smaller amouni lo go rowards the purchase of a van, but (he Foundatlon generously gave
us ihe larger amount. Thlg of course, greatly Increased our Income In the 2023.2024 year.
'rhe yeaT saw us purchase a newer new large gas heaters, a water boller and new tollet
flttlngs. All the Ilghi fliilngs In the maln hall were replaced. A new consumer unlt and safety
Ilghtthg were also Instaued. Necessary work was undertaken to bTIDg all the elecirleal
flirthgs up to standard so thai an ElectTfical Safety Certlflcate could be fissued.
The last Charlty Commtsslon Independent Eyamlnerfs report was for the year 202￿2021.
AtAhe end of each flnand81 year, I have ihe accounis scrutlnlsed by my accountant. He has
ewnlned the 2023-2024 aceoun15 and slgned the￿ off.
