The**<br>**aims of the organisation are to**<br>**encourage increased participation in**<br>**sport and well-being events and**<br>**activities, to improve the health and well**<br>**being as well as facilitating community**<br>**cohesion.**|

We have a bowling green,**<br>**a children’s play area as well as**<br>**informal recreation space.  There are**<br>**three changing rooms and a function**<br>**room/kitchen and toilets in the main**<br>**building.**<br>**The community centre is open to all**<br>**residents of the civil parish of Kirkby**<br>**Ireleth, and is well used by residents**<br>**and visitors alike for fitness classes, art,**<br>**local history and social groups as well**<br>**as private family celebrations.**<br>**The village school uses the facilities for**<br>**sports day, PE lessons and as quiet**<br>**location for SATs tests.**<br>**The village toddler group (Little Acorns)**<br>**meet in the hall weekly in term-time.**<br>**The hall is used as an outreach post**<br>**office one morning a week, from**<br>**October to March followed by a soup**<br>**lunch once a month funded by Kirkby**<br>**charities. The hall is also used as a**<br>**polling station when there is an election.**|





**The thirty year old childrens playground is increasingly requiring expensive maintenance and the major project for the year has been to raise funds for its replacement. Each year the Community Centre has a Village Gala, and in 2022 there was also the Platinum jubilee celebration with an afternoon tea on the field and in the hall, such events bring all ages together.** Statement confirming Para 1.18 whether the trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit
