Charities Commission Annual Report 2024 

This year has been very challenging due to a flood we had in October 2023. All the remedial work took place in 2024. Our true income derived from charitable events was in line with previous years but we received £49000 insurance payout to cover the damage. We also received £9600 grant to assist. The grant enabled work on a damp course around the building and also improving drainage around the building. The insurance payout enabled us to make repairs to our wooden hall floor, further improve outside drainage, make some repairs to plastering.  and start redecoration were needed. At the end of this financial period we still have approximately £25,000 to spend on repairs which we will continue with. 

We started replacing our external doors as they had degraded significantly, and this work will continue into the new financial year.
