Para 1.17 | The Community Association is a group of volunteers who are responsible for running and maintaining a Community Centre for the benefit of the inhabitants of the local community of Alkrington and surrounding areas. The general management of the affairs of the Association are directed by a Management and Policy Committee. The community centre provides facilities and recreation for all ages of the community. |

Para 1.18 | Our purposes is to offer a range of activities for all ages and all abilities. As well as offering weekly activities for the benefit of the public we also hire out our hall for private functions and events at the weekend. This can include children’s parties, adult and family parties. There is a monthly craft market for local small businesses. We also arrange our own social events so that members of each of our groups can get together for a social evening/dancing. We provide space for other local groups and charities to hold meetings, educational sessions and presentations. Many of our groups focus on elderly people who come to the community for recreation, exercise, and just simply company to be with others. |

Our centre is well looked after and we have full disability access. We provide affordable space to hire for children’s parties and celebrations. |
