13 GlebesKle Wrtlon Gilbert Co. Durham DH7 6SD 15th May 2023 Dear Committee Members of Witton Gilbert Communty Association and Residents of the Parish To start with a positive our Community Centre has survived another year wrthout the need to a¢￿sS reserves. Although our reserves are healthy it should be noted that we have not added to these and, in relation to our running costs remain relatively small. In 2022 we have managed to accumulate more funds than expenditure which can mainly be attributed to the success of grant applications., thank you to all who have donated to us this past year. The Committee still needs to be mindful of the ever increasing running costs and the work of our unpaid caretaker. Forward planning should be commencing to ensure we have these costs covered to ensure the ￿ntre remains open. We should be grateful for the large customer database we still have which ensures the hall is regularly in use. I have noted that no rent increase has been made in recent years but this is a step that should be taken in the next year to ensure running Costs are met. In closing I would like to thank everybody who has assisted me this past year, family, friends, colleagues. the Committee, staff and extra volunteers form a very small team who strive to maintain the Village Hall for all to use- we should all give ourselves a pat on the back. In closing I hope the Village Hall continues to flourish throughout 2023 Michelle Harrison
