The charlty Is constlluled by Conveyances daled Odober 1925 and a Scheme dated 12 March 1997 and
reglslered with the Chanty Commisslon on 10 June 1969 under the number 520905.
Its objects are to provlde a recreation ground and soclal dub lor th8 purposes of exercise and recreatlon for
the people that live In and around the Southwkk area.
The trustees have referred lo the guldance glven ty the Charity Comrnission on publlc benefft %then revievlng
the charivs alms and objectives and detsils of the activities that have taken place during the year can be
found later in th15 report.
Organlsatlonal Structure
The trustees who have served the charity during the year are shovm on page 1.
The charity is responsible for maintaining the premises and Its ￿nIentS and grounds In a sultable stale of
repalr for the use by those vlho INe in the surrounding area. Its principle source of income. apart from
Investment income, comes from Its conneded tradlng company. Weamiouth Colliery Weware, which pays an
annual occupattonal licence fee lo the charity in order to run its buslness from the charitvs premlses. In
addillon to thls, the company also transfers any prDffts it makes to Ihe Gharity under a Gtft Aid agreement so
the trustees work closety with the director5 to ty and ensure the company Is profitable, thus ensuring extra
Income for the charity.
Tnjstee vacancies are adverused and Inte￿sted parfies are asked to appty in wrfting. Intervlews VAN be held
and suitable candidates are then nottfied to their nominating body being either CISWO. Trade Union or
members. The Trustee Board is made up of equal numbers of eath nominatlng body.
Flnanclal Revlew
The charity showed nel expenditure of £17.105 for the year as opposed to £14.113]n the previous year. The
connected trading company was unable to transfer proffts this year.
Revlew of Actlvltles
The trustees are pleased and proud to support the sporting sections at Ihe weffare. The crlckel dub as tt
$tands has now dosed. A new crid(et section Is golng to be using the fa(ilities in the new cricket season.

It Is the policy of the trustees to maintsin unrestrlcled fijnds whlch are Ihe free resep4es ol the chaflty. al a level
to provide sufficient funds to cover andcipaled adminlstration and 5UPPOrt costs for a perfod of 12 months. Any
addltional reseNes are held to provlde a capital fund from repalrs Ihal wlll be requlred for the upke8p ol the
premlses.

The tnJslees are aware of the operatkinal and flnanclal rlsks whlch the charity faces and regularly revl8WS
those risks to mhigale agalnst any Impact they may have on the charity. The major rtsks fadng the charity
are the contlnued success ol the sodal dub from vthlch it derlves Its rnaln fundlng. the support of Indfvlduals
and the communlty in usln9 the facllities and the Introduction of the younger 9eneratlon lo pro¥lde for the
future. The trustee5 I￿rk dosety wlth the dlrectors, commlttee and member8 to address theje rlsks. The
trustees are carefully managlng the charitvs finances and are satisfied Ihat11 will be able to continue to meet
Its obligations for the foreseeable future.
