a) 8asls of preparatlon and assessment of going concern
The financial statements have been prepared under the histoncal cost convention unless otherwise
ststed in the relevant notes to these accounts. The financial statements have been prepared in
accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reporting by Charltles
(FRS102), the Financial Reporting Standard (FRS102) and the Charities Act 2011.
The trustees conS￿er that there are no material uncertainties about the charity's ability to continue as
a going concem. The trustees have a reasonable expectation that the charity has adequate reserves
to contsnue in operatsonal existence for the foreseeable fvture. Accordingly the trustees continue to
adopt the going concern basis in the preparation of the accounts.
b) Income Recognition
Income is recognised once the charity has entitlement to the income, it is probable that the income will
be received and that the amount of income receivable can be measured reliably.
Donations are recognised when they are received.
c) Expenditure recognltlon
Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon a8 there is a legal or constructive obligation committing
the charity to that expenditure, it is probable that settlement will be required and the amount of the
obligation can be measured reliably. All expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis.
o) Deprociatlon
Previously no depreciation was charged on fixed assets as the Trustees considered that the market value
value of fixed assets to be considerably greater than the cost values of the assets.
The Trustees have been advised that this is not in accordance with the Statement of Recommended
Practice for Charities which require that fixed assets are depreciated over their estimated useful lives.
So from January 2022 onwards assets have been depreaated as follows:.
- Groundsmans House
Land and buildings
Fixtures, fittings and equipment
