To advance the mental, physical and spiritual welfare of Young People by promoting a scheme of awards to assist in their personal development. 

There are 2 Beaver colonies, 2 Cub packs and 3 Scout groups providing a range of activities to take part in. There are currently 164 young members. 

The groups work within the Scouting framework to provide a wide range of activities and to assist young members in achieving **Summary of the main activities undertaken for the** various awards through the Scouting structure. **public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

We are grateful for the many hours that volunteers, including member volunteers, have spent contributing to the success of this Scouting group. Without this valuable contribution of time, energy and expertise we would not have been able to achieve so much _._

## Achievements and performance 

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

Full weekly term time programme of activities for two Beaver colonies, two Cub packs and three Scout groups. In addition, weekend activities such as climbing, camping, caving, water-sports and various other activities. Due to the COVID pandemic many activities moved online for part of the year. The group followed guidance from the Scout Association at all times in the year.

The main source of income is the termly fees from young members. In addition, the committee fund raise through a variety of activities. For this year, the fundraising was greatly reduced but the group were able to apply for various grants. 

Following the refurbishment of the premises, the funds will be used in the future to update the equipment stock of tents and other items and to supply additional activties to the group.

## **The Charity's Objectives** 

To promote the development of young people in achieving their physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential , as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of the local, national and international community. 

## **The Charity's main activities** 

The charity provides an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law, guided by adult leadership. 

## **Achievements and performance** 

The charity has provided weekly term time activities for two beaver colonies, two cub packs and three scout groups, as well as frequent weekend activities and camps. The young people have engaged in individual, group and community activities ranging from outdoor cooking, litter picking, archery and sailing.
