Main afflivities in relation to those wrposes
The charity has facilrt3ted the running of Beavets. Cubs. Rainbows. Brownies and GvKles units by
providing and maintèining suitable premises and È4uipmenL

The trustees confirm that they have had regard to Ihe Euidance issued by the Charity CoTnmi55ion on
public benefit.
Achievements and Performance
During ihe year. the trustÈes ensured that all Co¥id-19 guidanie was followed to enablÈ a returnto
full unir operations following cl￿edOWn and operationalty restriaed periods.
Also during the period, the Beaver5 and Cub5 unitswere able to recOrnMen￿ as new leaders and
volvnteer5 were identified arTrd joineti the group_
In April 2022. planning permi$5ion w35 obtained for ihe new group bttilding and temis wère agreed
with Derby City Council for a long term lease on the area of ground to be used forconstruttion.

Review of the charity's financial positron at the eThd of ihe year
The charity Is operaiina on è sound fin3no31 foolin8. Income generated in the ye3f ex￿eded costsand
rinancial planning for the coming year Shov￿ that the charitywill be able to coveranticipated
building running costs.
Policy oft holdiTrg rese￿e$
The charity would normally expett to hold reserves to coveranticipated iosts for at least the nexttwo years.
Further reserves have been built up in recÈnt year5 in preparatyon for the con5truaion of a new group
building as the lease on the gfcund currently used will not be exiended on a long terrn basis.
These extra funds, together with sienificant additional grants to be sourced, a¥e expecred to be utili5ed
during the next two to three years asthe projert is completed.

At 31 Marrh 2022 the balance held in unrestrirted funds was E44.19112021- £30,668).
Funds held as Custodian trusiees on behalf of others
Funds were held at the year end on behalf of the Cubs and BeavÈi units pending the
establishment of theirown accounts 85 the LEThits become once morÈ fully Èstsblished.
It is the intention for these fund5 to passed back to unir control during the next
financial year. Amounts relating tothese funds are induded in RestrittÈd Funé5
in the accounts.
