## **Management & Trustee Recruitment** 

The Hall is overseen by Trustees with an officer group consisting of a chair, vice-chair, secretary and treasurer running things day to day. The Hall holds approximately 4 general meetings a year to discuss programmes and events. Event specific meetings, eg for the beer festival are held as necessary. 

Trustees are recruited from time to time as required from residents in the village or with a connection to the hall. Trustees represent both retired and working folk. 

## **Activities and financial review** 

The Christmas Lights Switch-on and associated children’s party and fireworks display along with the Beer Festival continue as the Hall’s signature events. Both are enjoyed by hundreds of people and the beer festival turns in a handy profit for hall funds. Smaller coffee mornings and events are held from time to time and hall is hired by external groups. This year we put on a whole village party for Her Majesty the Queen’s jubilee and we were fortunate enough to receive a grant of £19,000 from Northern Powergrid which allowed us to renew our doors and windows and install energy efficient lighting, as well as renewing the curtains. All in all, the hall continues to be a useful and loved community asset for the village and the wider Weardale area.
