For the younger
section these included craft work,
communication skills, internet safety, team
work and road safety.
Outdoor boating activities also continued
and members were able to sail and kayak
throughout the summer months. During the
year we purchased a number of paddle
boards and these have been used to
augment the usual water-based activities.
Group fund-raising activities carried on,
including two Quiz Nights held in the Hall
and another successful Burns Night
supper, which was held in the local
Community Centre . In addition we staged|

two more events sponsored by Cheshire Rural Touring Arts, which is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation and presents a diverse mix of professional theatre, music, dance, and family shows to bring novel social experiences to Weaverham. In addition, many of our young people have embarked on additional fund-raising activities to finance the proposed 2025 summer camp to Norway. This will be the first Group camp that the group has held outside the UK for many years The group also funded the installation of sound-absorbing panels to reduce levels of noise when the Hall is in use. This is of particular benefit during the Beaver and Cub section metings, and also to the external group who use the Hall (for instance, a local choir). All this is representative of a thriving asset to the local community.
