Trustees Report 2[nd] Gee Cross Guide Unit 

January – December 2024 

Guide numbers - continue to grow with a good age range. 

Activities - Taylor Swift Theme Evening in April 

Gee Cross Fete running the games for Hyde Rotary in June (fundraising for local causes) 

Barbecues June and July 

Gee Cross Annual Well Dressing in July 

Christmas Tree Festival in December 

Hyde Rotary Christmas Sleigh in December (fundraising for local causes) 

Outings –   Chippy night in July 

Pasta night in December 

Pantomime in December 

Badge Work – busy terms including- 

Theme Awards – Know Myself and Be Well 

Interest Badges – Mixology.  Aspirations. Confectionery 

Bronze Award – 7 

Silver award – 2 

Gold award – 4 

Crafts – such as Keyrings. Baking. Beading 

It’s been good looking at what skills the girls have they can share – recently one of the guides led the session on beading. Making complicated bracelets and different shapes which the girls asked to repeat the following week. 

As numbers have increased, we have 17 girls now we appealed for help from the parents, and we now have Emily who is a wonderful helper.
