on wilh a number of fantast*¢ 5torfes emerging from nrt only the Groups but a150 wlth the young people workln8
wlthin the communMe5. You wlll see at the back of the l)ooklet there are Ilst of awards, wlth some ueatlve awards
which we havè doneto award our youn8 peopleforthe work they ha¥t done wlthin the communitles. Nell wlshed to
give a big thank you to everyofte Indudlng the DFstrltt Executfve for supportlng him over the last 1¥18 months.

to loc*down Nell was not ableto get round the Grtyjps to present the awards and wlll 8fvetheseto the GSLS for them
to presert. He will 8et theseall out now that we are back in Green.
He thanked everyone for their time and effort and emphaslsed that is why Cheadle Is In such a sirong positlon. He
mentioned that the Youth Membership was *Jown 25%, the Census the start of this year. The amount of joinln8
enqu5rfes we are now gettinB Is phenomenal and most Grou￿ are now getting a capaoty poln¢ he asked that they
manage their wa5tin8 Ilst as best they can and offer places at other Groups where posslble now that S￿UtIng Is back
on again.

The Scout Councll has a 50% share in the running of Abney Scout and Gulde
Resldential Centre. Should the Centre incur10$5e5, the Councll may be called
upon to contrSbute towards these losses.
The Scout Council has an obllgation for rent payable In the future to Stockport
Metropolitan Borough Council of £600 {six hundred pounds I per annum,
subject to revlew. forthe remainder of the lease i.e. 13 years.
Reserves
The Districys pollry on general reserves Is to hold the followln8:
£10.0￿ to enable it to help Groups In an emer8ency.
£5,000 to cover replaCemenvrene￿￿l of Base Camp facllities.
£10,0￿ to meet posslble development ol Base Camp headquarters.
£IO,LKK) to meet the antlcipated costs of the D5stricVs future actlvities.
£5,000 to contribute to Abney Scout & Guide Centre If105ses should
be Incurred.
"Base Camp" is occupled under a 21 year lease from the Metropolltan
Borough Council of Stockport whlch commenced on 21" October 2013.
