In the club emphasis is plaod on encouraging mulual respect and
positlve behaviour, bulldlng young people's confidence and self-esteem
and encouraging them to form healthy and mutually respectful
relalionships with each othar and with others in the world .The club's Staff
and volunleers aim lo help young people grow Into mature and well-
adjusted adults who will make a positive contributlon to the community
and to wider soclety. Many of the club's members volunteer lo asslst in
Ihe club sesslons when th8y make a much valued contrlbution.

-Foolball The Glub has 9 teams (under the name Offerton Park JFC)
from receptlon to under 17's with Iraining provlded on four
evenlngs

Achievements and performance
The club was presented wlth a special recognition award by the Hlgh
Sheriff of Greater Manchesler in March 2024 In recognition of ils
longevity, the dedicallon of its volunteers in delivering Outstanding
recreatlonal and educational opportunities for young people
A granl of £3045 was received in March 2024 from Vemon Charitable
Foundation to help provide updated and new equipment and tralnlng
faGilitles. The committee propose to apply this amount help improve Its
boxing'aclivity.
Boxing
The boxing club has been affiliated to England boxing slnca the end of
2019, and Is now enterlng Its 3lll full season (Ignorlng closure during the
lockdown). It Is now w811 established in the local area as offerlng a
stlmulating and rewardlng experlence for young people.
We now have Ihree 8enlor coache8 (level 2) and two coaches (level 1),
and It Is hoped that one of our ex boxers having recently qualifled wlll joln
the coaching team8. Durlng Ihe year two members boxed competitlvely,
and our aim for the followlng yaar Is to double that number. The facilily Is
open to all and though most chlldren do not progress lo Ihe highest lev61,
nevertheless nearly all chlldren take something posltlve from the
experience -Improved fitness, Self-dlsclpllne, Gomradeshlp and hopefully,
fun.
Needed trainlng equlpment was added durlng the year thank8 to a
generous grant from the Vernon Bullding soclety.
This wa8 the second year we have taken Some of our boxer81o Cumbria
on an 'outward bound, experience, which was fond to be fun and
rewarding.
We have had over 81xty chlldr8n come through our door8 slnce 2019, wnh
a current attendance of twenty, Of those fourteen recently had thelr
doctors medlcal and are now reglst8red and are eligible to spar and
perhap8 move onto competitlve boxlng In due Goufse.
Interest In becomlng a member continues and it18 hoped additlonal
beginn8r8' classes will be added In the near future.

I report on the accounts of the Stockport Lads Club for the year endd 3 l March 2024.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the trustees of the Charity you are responsible for the preparation of the financial
statements in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act).
I report in respect of my examination of the Charity's financial statements carried out under
section 145 of the 201 l Act. In caLrying out my examination I have followed all the
applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011
Act.
Independent examiner's Statement
I hav¢ completed my examination. I confinn that no matters have come to my attention in
connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:
accounting i'ecords were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section
130 of the 2011 Act; or
the financial statements do not accord with those records or;
the financial statements do not comply with the applicable requirement concerning
the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports)
Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair
view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the
examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper
understanding of the financial statements to be reached.
