The charity exists to provide and maintain Lawton Memorial Hall, a community facility open to all for social, educational and recreational purposes. The Trust gives particular consideration to meeting social need - e.g. for the elderly- within its area of benefit which is largely within SE Cheshire and N. Staffs. The Trust is mainly self-funding.

Objects: For The Purposes Fo Physical And Mental Training, Recreation And Social Moral And Intellectual Development Through The Medium Of Reading And Recreation Rooms, Libray Lectures, Classes, Recreations And Entertainment Or Otherwise As May Be Found Expedient For The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of The Parish Of Church Lawton And Its Immediate Vicinity Without Distinction Of Sex Or Of Political Religious Or Other Opinions.
