**Objects:** A) TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF WEST RAINTON AND LEAMSIDE AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID INHABITANTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IND IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS.B) SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMUNITY CENTRE AND TO MAINTAIN AND MANAGE THE SAME IN FURTHERANCE OF THOSE OBJECTS.C) PROMOTE SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME BE DETERMINED.

**Activities:** The current Management Committee voluntarily manage a community centre named the Jubilee Hall, gifted to the people of the Parish many years ago. In 2007 we inherited a mismanaged Charity and neglected centre, since when we have embarked on a major development strategy that includes capacity building, compliance, accountability, community consultations and a structural refurbishment project.
