**Activities:** To advance the education of the public by the establishment of a Maritime Museum in the Borough of Barrow-in-Furness and to collect, preserve restore, improve enhance, use and maintain features and objects of historical, industrial and social interest relating to the past and in particular the Maritime history of the Furness District.
