Matters Arising
Trampoline - staff are currently booked on rebound training, but a pump is needed to rectify the flooded trampoline. The possibility of an indoor trampoline was discussed for the use of certain students during pe lessons.
Family learning days to continue with possible changes to timings to allow more parents/carers to attend (1 during school time and 1 evening).
Ideas for family learning days included - massage,mindfulness and parent wellbeing afternoon - emphasis on short, snappy information with plenty of time for chat.
Messy play is still running for younger children, there is the possibility of running an activity of a similar nature for older students.
Playground to be installed bit by bit - as and when we can afford. £37.715.63 currently in PTFA account for Playground.
Justgiving is lucrative, used by a variety of people and we automatically receive gift aid.
£41 raised so far from Amazon Smile - Register your charity and Amazon gives a % of spend.
Proceeds from Race Night £2.334.97.
A letter is to be drafted to send to parents/carers/friends of school about what is going on in school and upcoming events, coffee mornings etc.
Nativity is so popular - upper school in church, lower school two showings in school hall.
Oranges for Christingle are provided free from Pioneer.
Members of PTFA to serve tea and coffee at messy play, nativity etc to try and engage new members.
Fundraising ideas for upcoming year - Race Night; Quiz night (fun!); Coffee mornings
Treasurers report
Accounts for the financial year to the end of March 2022 show income of £37,225.20 and expenditure of £12,954.80. The balance as of 31st March 2022 was £49,388.55.
The current financial position is Balance £46.674.28 Less commitments £37.715.63 (playground development) Available £8.958.65
Request for financial assistance
Christmas present money of £10 per pupil was agreed.
The spreadsheet of costs for Christmas, provided by the School Finance Officer, was approved.
Any other business
Clothes swap events to start with uniform, school shoes etc. First one to be held 8th Feb at 10am followed by a PTFA meeting at 12pm. Clothes to be in school by 23rd Jan PTFA to get together to sort on 25th Jan. Rails, hangers and tables needed. This could possibly go on to a general clothes/ sensory toy swap if successful.

James Rennie School PTFA Independent Examiners Report to thè Trustees of James Rennie School PTFA I report on the accounts of the charity for the year end8d 31 st March 2022, wthich attached. This report is made solely to the chanlys trustees. as a thy, in accordan with s43 of the Chanties Act 1993 (for a charity in England and Wales>. Respective re8pon•ibiliti•s of Trustees and Examlner The charrty's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The Charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 43(21 of the Charities Act 1993 (th8 1993 Ad) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to.. Examine the accounts lurKler section43 (3){a) of the 1993 Act)., To follow the procedures laid down in the Gener81 Dire¢tTrons given by the Charity Commissioners under s4317)(b) of the Act; and To State whether particular matters have come to my atterrtion. Basis of Independent examlnern repcKL My examination was carried out in accordance wtth the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioner5. An examination included a review of accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also indudes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and the seeking pf explanations from you as Iru8te8s conceming any SUGh matters. The procedures undertaken db not provide all the evidence that would be required in audit and consequently, I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
