Activities

At the request of Kim Chester, Development Manager, Waterways Trust, Mrs Hopkinson recorded the history of the Brindley Canal & brine spring excavations at Droitwich for educational purposes, at schools & the Worcester Record Office to maintain interest in the history of the salt industry. DBSAT has been made a partner in this development together with Wychavon District Council and local bodies.

To Advance Understanding Of The Ancient Salt Industry Its Technology Archaeology And History By Establishing A Living Museum Of The Salt Industry At Droitwich Spa In The County Of Herford And Worcester At The Site Of And Incorporating The Upwich Pit In Vines Park.
