New Chief Executive David K¢an¢. bkviDg a wea]th of expthettee ID the public, privat¢ and voluntary sectors. was appointed by tbe board and arrived at BASIC in October 2021, allowing for a band-over period prior to Wendy's r¢tir¢m¢nt in D¢¢emb¢r 2021. Trystees BASICS forn]er ChaRr attd founder. Derek G&sk¢ll. sadly pass¢d away in January 2022 having recent]y r¢tir￿ as a lrnstee and holding a role as honorary chair. Derek was ihe original foullder of the charity in 1986 to support the Neurosciences at Salford Royal NHS Trust. Our focus for the future is on removing the barriers to accessing service4 both financially and physically.
