IT ALSO RESCUES, RESTORES & DISPLAYS ITEMS OF HISTORICAL OR TECHNICAL INTEREST RELATING TO POYNTON'S HISTORY WITH EMPHASIS ON THE LOCAL COALMINING INDUSTRY & INDUSTRIAL ARCHAEOLOGY.

Objects: To Advance The Education Of The Public By The Following Means:- (A) Rescuing, Restoring And Displaying A Collection Of Early Internal Combustion Engines Of Historical Or Technical Interest With Particular Emphasis On Gas Engines Made In The Greater Manchester Area.(b) Rescuing, Preserving And Displaying Items Relating To The History Of Poynton Of Historical Or Technical Interest With Particular Emphasis On The Local Coalmining Industry And Industrial Archeology.
