community in the following areas.
It provides religious education 4 days a week
to young children in reading the Quran and
good Islamic conduct, by a trained teacher in
the evenings.
The Masjid connects with the local community
by facilitating inter-faith education, to raise
awareness and understanding of Islamic beliefs
and practices; this is achieved by inviting
schools to visit, visiting schools and inviting
other interested groups into the Mosque e.g.
Local Churches and Police.
We provide a clean, safe environment that is
open to allow Muslims to worship five times a
day, 7 days a week.
Every Friday, an educational speech is given
promoting the Islamic value of good citizenship
and Islamic knowledge.
The Imam also provides support to people with
their problems and conducts Marriage

• Successfully launched a new mosque
website, improving communication and
making information more accessible to the
community.
• Strengthened our partnership with the
NHS, including helping establish Muslim
prayer facilities within NHS premises in
collaboration with Masjid Tooba, providing
spiritual support for patients, visitors, and
staff.
• Built stronger links with the new mosque
in Wigan, promoting unity, cooperation, and
joint community initiatives.| • Upgraded our Janāzah (funeral) facilities and services to provide better support for bereaved families. • Reviewed and strengthened the Marriage Committee, improving procedures and support for those seeking Islamic marriage services. • Successfully introduced Community Gathering events, bringing families and residents together to strengthen community spirit and wellbeing. • Expanded and strengthened our women's programmes, with increased participation in educational, social, and wellbeing activities throughout the year. • Continued supporting vulnerable members of the community, including those experiencing homelessness and those affected by drug and alcohol addiction, through advice, practical support, signposting, and partnership working. • Continued providing daily congregational prayers, Jumu'ah prayers, Qur'an classes, children's Madrasah, Islamic education, and religious services. • Organised and facilitated Islamic events throughout the year, encouraging greater community participation and engagement. • Continued working with local authorities, statutory agencies, charities, and community organisations to promote community welfare, social cohesion, and public benefit. • Expanded our volunteer team, enabling more members of the community to contribute towards delivering mosque services and activities. • Continued providing pastoral care, Islamic guidance, family support, welfare advice, and general community services to individuals and families in need. • Continued welcoming schools, organisations, and members of the wider community to the mosque, promoting understanding, inclusion, and positive community relations.
