Tho charity's pollcy on r•8erv•s Our fonnal policy on reserves is to keep SLrfficient money available to Gover six months of running costs, equivabent currently to around £30,000. We had the pandemic and reopened in June 2021 having been closed for sixteen months. This does affect our resen￿8 greatly as since reopening have run at a considerable loss from a drop in service user numbers due to closure, fear of the pandemic and understandable caution. This has meant that our income losses prompted the search for Covid Recovery grant assistan￿.

Page 2 AGE CONCERN EASTWOOD TRUSTEES, ANNUAL REPORT YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2022 History We were fortunate to re￿1ve a very generous legacy from a deceased client's estate some years back. We have used over £25,000 of the legacy bringing our facilrties up to date, particularly the toiSet areas which previously offered little in the way of prtvacy and dignity. We have had installed a suspended Ceiling with new lightin9', more eleGtrical work. redecoration. a new condenslng boiler arKt more. We are currently looking at areas where we might make the money we have Work harder for us. but this is difficult with the low interest rates presently on offer.
