The tnjstees who are also directors of the charity for the purposes of the Companies Act 2006> present their report with
the fingmcial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2024. The tmstees have adopted the provisions of
Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statem¢nl of Recommended Practicc applicable to Charities preparing their
accounts in accordance with the Financia] Rewrting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)
(effective l January 2019).
OBJECTIVES AIW ACTIvrriES
Objecttves gDd aims
Thc principal objective of the organi5ation is to provide employment and training lor people predominantly SY>m Ihe
BME ¢ommunity. The objects are to improve the employability of people, primarily from the BME comtnunity.
This is a recognition that people from the BME community are not a]ways represented in ternis of employment with
local authorities. The organisation operal¢s in Nottingham City and County.
Principal aclivities
The principal a¢livities are as follows-
a) Work strategica]ly with training providers and other parthers.
b) Maintain links with locaI, regional and national training networks and govemment bodies.
c) Enhan¢e the SUPEK)rt services for training by introducing individual tailored support plans and life skills.
d) Aspire to a vision of society in which young b1￿k and minority ethnic (BME) people are able to compete for
nployTnent.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Investment policy and objectives
The Articles ol the organisation authorise the trustees to make and hold investments using the gener8J fimds of the
charity, but no such investments are presently held.
Going concern
There are no current concems over going concern but the organisation will be looking for additiona] ￿ndIng for
2024125 onwards.
FirruRE PLANS
The organisation continues to provide training and e]nployment opw>rtunities for young people aged 16-18 &8 well as
supplying apprenticeships for those aged 1&24.
STRUCTU￿ GOVERNANCE AND WAGEMENr
Governing document
The charity is controlled by its goveming documenL a deed of trust. and Consti￿teS a Itmited Company, limited by
guaromtee, as defined by the Companies Act 2006.
The truslets monitor the major strategiG business and operationa] risks which the Charity faces to ensure that systems
arc adequate to mitigate these risks.
The trustees delegate the day-to-day responsibility for managing thc pu)jects lo the chief executive and staff.

I report lo the ¢harity trustees on my examination of the ac¢ounls of the Compa￿Y for thc year ended 31 March 2024.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity's trustees of the Company (8nd also its directors for the purposes of company law) you are rosponsible for
the preparation of the accounts in accord8nce with the requirements ofthe Companies Act 21)06 ('Ihe 2006 Act).
Having satisfied myself that the acwunts of the Company are not required to be auditcd under Part 16 of the 2006 Act
and arc eligible for indepcnd¢nl examination. I report in respect of my exgmination of your charity s a¢counts as carried
out under Section 145 of the ch￿ill¢S Act 2011 Vthe 2011 Act,). In carrying out my examination I have followed the
Directions given by thc Charity Commission under Section 145(5) (b) of the 2011 Act.

Since your charity's gross income exeeeded £250,IK)O your examiner must be a member of a listed body. I can confim]
that l am qualified lo undertake the examination because l am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in
England and Wales. which is one of the listed bodies.
I have completed my examination. I confm that no matters have come to my attention in ¢onne¢tion with the

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basis of preparing the financial statements
The f￿anCIal statements of the charitable company, which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been
prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charitics: Statement
of Recommcnded Practice applicable lo charities prcparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the LfK and Republic of Ircland (FRS 102) {effective l janU￿Y 2019),,
Financial Rep)rting Stmdard 102 'The Financial Reporting Stand￿d applicable in the UK and Republic of
Ireland, and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prep2r¢d und¢r the historica] cost
nvention.
Ineome
All income is recognised in the Statment of Financial Activities once the charity h&s entitlement to the funds, it
is probable that the income will be received and the amount ¢an be me&sured reliably.
Expenditure
Liabilities are recognised as cxpenditure ls soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the
ch￿lty to that expenditur¢, it is probablc that a trgJJsfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement and
the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has
been classified under headings that aggrcgate atl c05t related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly
atiTibuted to particular headings they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of
resources.

arise when specified by the donor or when fvnds are raised for porticulgr restricted purposes.

Pension costs and Dther post-retirement benefits
The ¢haritable Company operates a defmed contribution pension s¢heme. Contributions payable to the chwilable
mparly's pension scheme are charged to the Statement of Financial Activities in the period lo which they relate.
