TANTERTON CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

Annual Report for the year ending 31[st] December 2025

Tanterton Christian Fellowship is constituted by a Deed of Trust dated 30[th] September 1986 and is a registered charity no. 518181. Its address is Tanterton Christian Centre, Kidsgrove, Ingol, Preston, PR2 7BX. The trustees during the year to 31[st] December 2025 were :-

Mrs Ruth Cuthbert - Chair Mr Paul Earnshaw - Secretary Mr Jonathan Hope Mr Samuel Smith

The object of the charity is the advancement of the Christian Faith, the worship of God, the relief of those in need and the advancement of education on the basis of Christian principles. The trustees’ policy is that this object should be fulfilled by the local Christian church known as Tanterton Christian Fellowship through a holistic ministry exercised locally in the Tanterton, Ingol, and Cottam area of Preston and also further afield in the United Kingdom and the wider world. To this end the charity employs a minister, a community pastor and supports individuals in Uganda. It also supports financially the work of certain local, national and international Christian organisations. However, most of its work is dependent on the voluntary help of the church members of Tanterton Christian Fellowship.

Locally the charity has organised during the past year, the normal activities of a Christian church (i.e. Sunday Services, Prayer Meetings, small study groups, womens and mens groups, Youth and Children’s Work, Parents & Toddlers’ Group) normally based at the Tanterton Christian Centre. Alongside these activities community lunches, cook-a-longs, and other activities have been organised with some of the funding coming from local government grants.

The charity is dependent on the gifts and free-will offerings of those who worship at Tanterton Christian Fellowship. This support is received on a regular basis from its membership, who are entirely committed to its primary aims and objectives and are principally its main beneficiaries.

The Trustees have not received any remuneration, nor has any material transaction taken place between the Charity and a Trustee or any person connected with any of them.

Some upgrade and maintenance work has been completed on the facilities this year at a cost of approximately £20,000. Further upgrades and maintenance are planned for 2026.

Unrestricted reserves at 31[st] December 2025 were £173,895. The unrestricted reserves at the year-end were above the minimum level set by the Trustees. The amount available is considered by them to be adequate given that those who are wholly committed to the work of the charity give income regularly over the year.
