Activities

Groundwork Leeds is part of a national federation of Trusts that was set up to champion grassroots environmental activity. Groundwork Leeds works with communities, local partners and businesses to improve the environment; it educates and engages children and young people about environmental matters, and strives to improve the quality of life for those in deprived areas.

Objects: The Objects Of The Company Are To Promote Firstly The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Physical And Natural And Social Environment In The Leeds Area Which Consists Of All Wards In The Leeds Metropolitan District And Secondly To Provide Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation And Leisure Time Occupation With The Objective Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For Those Living Or Working Or Resorting To The Leeds Area And Thirdly To Advance Public Education In Environmental Matters And Of The Ways Of Better Conserving, Protecting And Improving The Same Wheresoever.
