In planning our activities for the year we kept in mind the Charity
Commission's guidance on public benefit at our trustee meetings.
The main activities are as follows.
Ensuring the continued availability of the War Memorial Hall, for
NHS clincs, the Alford Day Centre group and Dementia Group.
Reduced lettings fees for charities and groups which align with
our charitable objectives.
By ensuring the availability of the hall for clinics and groups we are
supporting the community who require these services in the local area
rather than travelling to another facility.

Section D
Achievements and performance
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
This year we are pleased to report that we have secured a regular out of
hours GP service to attend the hall each weekend. This was a significant
administrative and managerial undertaking to ensure the hall was in line
with NHS property standards. The service means that the local
community can now benefit from additional weekend appointments with
GP.
During the year we also secured funding to instal a defibrillator
I nstallation of a defibrillator at the hall.
