**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY SHALL BE TO; PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF ELDERLY PEOPLE IN ANY MANNER WHICH NOW IS OR HEREAFTER MAY BE DEEMED BY LAW TO BE CHARITABLE IN AND AROUND APPLEBY AND ITS SURROUNDING VILLAGES (HEREINAFTER CALLED "THE AREA OF BENEFIT") IN PARTICULAR BY THEPROVISION OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO GROUPS AND INDIVIDUALS WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT TOGETHER WITH THOSE AGENCIES, GROUPS AND INDIVIDUALS THAT SUPPORT THOSE PEOPLE.

**Activities:** Age Concern Appleby & District have two shops in the town. both run entirely by volunteers. We have no paid staff what so ever and all money raised, after expenses, rates, rents etc is given to local charities and groups which help and care for older people in the Appleby District.
