It continuesto be a thallenging and restrictNe tlme due to wlth Covid and lockdowns. Nevertheless,
wlth Domlnlc Wllkinson on board as Creative Dlrector we began to develop altematwe plans In
whlch we could utili5e other exhlbitlon facS1itles In the dty centre wlthout undue cost and long-tem
commltment.
We did attemptto lease a bulldlng In Hope St Llverpool, but thls became protracted due to legallties
and we flrtal￿ decided agalnst it in the Ilght of other opportunltles with UMU. Because of Covld and
the inabllity to plan we closed the office space at the Baltlc Liverpool reducin8 our overheads stlll
further. We now have one space at the Baltlc whlch is the archive store.
In dtscussion wtth staff at UMU we agreed a date for next year in whlch they would curate a large-
scale experlmental exhlbltlon of Fanchons artwork In thelr ERL gallery. This would Indude ￿$earth
fundlngfor students. The publi5hingof Fanthon book progressed by edltlng and deslgnlng the book.
