The playgroup encourages pants/CarCrS to undersLqnd the needs of their children. The playgroup provides a warn). safe and stimulating environment for children aged 2-3 years to play in. The emph&sis is on Icarning through play, developing social, physical intellectual and creative skills &s well as knowledge and undersLgnding of the world. Children are encouraged to participate in all activities. choices and experiences for the age and stage of development of each child in our care. We continu¢ to update and complete rssesSMents for the Healthy and Sustainable Pre- School Scheme which is part of the Welsh Government Healthy Schools initiative. The setting now promotes the health and wellbeing of the children, pants, and stsff in the setting. This includes providing healthy snacks for the children. providing a safe and sust2inable environmenL getting the children involved in more physical activities, play and promoting workplace health and wellbeing. By adopting gd work Pfdctice the setting has a happy. healthy. and prThluctive workforce with little or no absence. The setting is now following a new incentive PATHS (Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies) which is a social-emotional learning curriculum which helps children to improve their friendships, help them make good decisions and improve their behaviour.

FINANCIAL REVIEW The playgroup has set aside £24,948 to cover staff redundancies if the need ever arises, to cover increase in rent from Pembrokeshtre County Council, to replace equipmen( furniture and toys and further funds to cover increases in insurances and pension contributions. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TRUSTEES The tsustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees Annual Rew)rt and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice). Company law requires thc trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charitable company and of the incoming resources and application of resources, including the income and expenditure. of the charitable company for year. RESPONSIBILITIES AND BASIS OF REPORT As the charity's tsvstees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ("The Act"). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section l45 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examinatio I have followed all the applicable DIrtionS given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT I have completed my examination. I confirnl that no rnaterial nllerS have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that any material respect: The accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or The accounts did not accord with the accounting records" or The accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the forni and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Account and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair, view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
