Structure and Management
The Charity is managed by a volunteer committee which has a Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and Booking Secretary along with 5 other members. The Committee meets monthly except for August and deals with all matters relating to the effective management of the Hall. New Trustees are recruited via Social Media channels, the Parish magazine and by in-person approaches to people.
Activities and Objectives
We have continued to provide a suitable and welcoming space for use by the local community for a wide range of activities. This has included: parties, dog training/socialisation classes, dance classes, repair cafe, pop up cafes, craft club, Christmas party for older residents, bowls club, First Aid courses, PE sessions, music events throughout the year and the annual Gala. We have ad hoc users throughout the year and these are increasing as we move further away from the impact of Covid. The Parish Council has used the hall for meetings and it was used as a Polling Station at this year’s local elections.
Achievements and Performance
We continue to attract good levels of bookings although we are aiming to increase the number of daytime bookings as this is the time the Hall is available the most. We have had acoustic panels fitted inside the Hall which has greatly improved the environment and made it a more attractive and user friendly space.
Financial Review
The balance sheet remains healthy although repairs to the building necessitate that we continue to apply for grant funding to ensure the Hall stays in good order.
