**Objects:** TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF SLAITHWAITE AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD, BEING THE AREA SHOWN EDGED IN RED ON THE PLAN ANNEXED HERETO (HEREINAFTER CALLED THE AREA OF BENEFIT) WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND INHABITANTS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS.

**Activities:** Slaithwaite Community Association has the aim of encouraging and promoting community life in Slaithwaite. We achieve this by means of events that bring together many interest groups in the village as well of people of all ages who do not belong to any organised group. We are particularly proud that we are able to support many groups connected with children and young people.
