Ashdene County Primary School Parent TeacherAssociation IPTAI is a registered charity
govemed by its constttution and operated by a committee ofvolunteer trustees elected by
members ofthe association.
The trustees are responsible for the overall governance and rnanagement of the charity. The
committee meets regularly throughout the year to organise fLJndraising actiwties. review
finances and determine how funds raised should be allocated to support the school.
The PTA works closely with the school leadership team to identify areas where funding can
enhance the educational environment and experience of pupils.
Objectlves and Actlvitles
The objective of the charity is to advance the education of pvpiis at Ashdene County Primary
School ty developing effective relationships betr￿n staff. parents and others asso¢ialed with

the school, and by engaglng in 8Ctivities th8t support the school and enhance the learnlng
environment.
To achieve this objective. the PTA organises 8 r8nge of fundr8ising 8nd community events
throughout the year. These activities aim both to raise funds Bnd strengthen the sens8 01
communitywithin the school.
Events organised during the year included a variety of lundr8ising and social activities for pupils
and families. all supported by volunteers Ifom the school community.
Public Beneflt
The trustees confirm that they have had regard to the guidance issued bythe Charity
Commission lor England and Wales on public benefit.
Allfunds raised bythe PTA8re used to supportthe pupils ofAshdeneCounty Prim8rySchool by
enhancing educational resources. supporting school activities and contributing towards
init18tNes that benefit Ihe wider school community.
Achievements and Performance
The 2023 to 2024 academic year was a successful period forthe PTA, with strong eng8gement
from parents, C8rers. staff and volunteers.
Fundraising activities throughout the year generated signilicant income which allowed the PTA
to continue supportingthe school through financial contributions towards resources. events
and initiatsves that enhance the educational experience of pupils.
The trustees ar8 extremely grateful for the continued support of parents. carers, school staff
and volunteers whose time. energy and genelosity make these activities possible.
Flnanclal R8vlew
During the financial year ending 31 August 2024. the PTA generated total income of £25.353
through tundraising activities and donations.
Total expenditure forthe year amounted to £8.727. covering the costs associated with
organising fundraising events and running PTA activities.
In addition, the PTAdonated £4,356toAshdene County Primaryschoolto support purchases
and school events that benefit pupils and enhance their educational experience.
After accounting for expenditure and donations to the school. the surplus carTied forward at the
end of the financial year wag £12.270.
The trustees consider this to be a positive financi81 position that allows the PTA to continue
supporting the school with future projects and initiatives.
Reserves Pollcy
The trustees aim to maint8in a reasonable level of reserves to ensure the charity can continue
operating effectively and supporting the school Ihroughout the year.
Funds held bythe charity are intended to be applied for the benefit of the pupils of Ashdene
County Primary School in line wlth the charity'8 objectives.

Plans for the Future
The PTA intends to continue organ15in8 lundr8isln8 8nd communlty events In the coming year to
raise funds that support the school and enhance the educational experience of pupils.
The trustees ￿￿1{ continueworking closelywith the school leadership toBm to identify priorities
where PTA fur*Oing can have the greatest impact.
Encouraging participation from parents. Carers and volunteers remains an import8nt focus to
ensure the continued success and Sustsinability ofthe charity.
