I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Knowle Church of England Primary School Parents’ Association for the year ended 31[st] August 2023

As the charity trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (the Act) 

I report in respect of my examination of the accounts 

## **Independent examiner’s statement** 

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material resect

2. The accounts do not accord with those records 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

## **Report of the Trustees for the year ending 31 August 2023** 

The trustees of the Knowle Church of England Primary School parents association present their annual report and audited accounts for the year ended 31 August 2023 and confirm they comply with the relevant requirements. The accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis. 

## **Our Aims** 

The parents association aims to raise money through a variety of fund raising activities during the school year. These activities can be for children, families or parents to enjoy. All money raised is then donated, at regular intervals, to Knowle Primary Academy. 

## **Review of Activities** 

During the year ending 31 August 2023 a large number of fundraising activities took place. The main events being: 

- The Christmas Fayre 

- The Summer Fayre 

- Fireworks event 

- Parents’ ball 

- Numerous school discos 

The parents association also received funds from donations and sponsorship 

All events are run by volunteers, who are parents from Knowle Primary Academy. 

## **Finances** 

During the financial year £36, 552 was raised. This provided a surplus of £20,796 after costs were deducted. 

Knowle Primary Academy received £32,500 during this period. £10, 000 of this money was spent on the ongoing developments of the nursery playground. £22,500 was spent on a range of projects across school including new musical instruments, outdoor equipment, Lego resources, French dictionaries and a new library area in the early years. 

At the 31 August 2023 the bank balance is £27,539
