New trustees are appointed by existing Iruslees and are bnefed on their legal oblig*ions under
eharity law. the content of the chantys constrtution and rt5 recent perfomiance.
The board of Iruslees oversee the running of the charty on a day lo day basis. All operational
dec15ions are made at board meetings which are held frequenwy through the year.
The Iru5tees have assessed the major risks to ¥thich the chanty is exposed and are satisfied
that systems and procedures are in place lo mitigate thier exposure to the major risk5.

Public
The trustees frequently review the objectives and activities for the charity to ensure that they
provide an overall benefit lo the public. In carrying out this review the Trustees have considered
the Charity Commission's general guidance lo public benefrt.
Achlevements and P8rfomiance
The Ghausia Mosque (Trusll is working for the establishment Friday Prayers and daily prayers and
held regularly. Travee prayers during the month of Ramadan and both Eid prayers and funeral were
arranged in the mosque and Children's religious education is being organised at present.
Flnanclal Rovlèw
The ch8rily's reserve policy is lo build a sufficient level ol reserves lo pay lor the conlruclion of
the new mosque building which is currently ongoing. This new building will provide a publi¢
benefit.
During the year the charity Taised a total funds of £275,860,76 of which £242,910.43 was from
voluntary donations from the public and t32.950 from sludenl fees sales of books elc,

The charity'8 plans for the future are lo rai8e enough funds to pay for the eonslruclion of the
new mo$que building.

of fraud and other irregularities.

We report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31 August 2022, which are set out on
the pages 8 10 11
RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES OF TRUSTEES AND EXAMINER
The trustees are responsible for the preparation of the acwunts and consider that an audrt is not
required for this year under section 43121 of the Charities Act 1993 and that an independent
examination is needed.

follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity

BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT
Our examination was Carried out in accordance with the General Direction given by the
Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept
by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also
includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking
explanations from you as trustees conceming any such matters. The procedures undertaken
do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently we
do not express an aud1t opinion on the view given by the accounts.

I. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
1.1 Basis of prepar81ion of accounts
The accounts are prepared under the historical cost convention and follow the
recommendation5 In the Revised Statement of Recommended Practice'Accounting
and Reporting by Charrties issued in March 2005.
1.2 Incoming resources
All incom1ng resources are recogni5ed in the SOFA when the charity is legally
enlilled to the Income and the amount can be quantified wrth reasonable accuracy.
1.3 Resources expended
All expenditure 15 accounted for on an accruals b8sis and has been classified under
headings that aggregate all costs related lo that category.
1.4 Value Added Tax
Value added tax is not recovered by the charty. and a5 such is included in the
