A Trust Deed dated 19 November 1984 provides details of how the purposes and administration of the charity
are to be re8ulated.
Members are appointed to the Management Committee annually at the Annual General Meeting of the charity.
Each Parlsh Organisation is entitled to appoint up to two representative members. Newly formed or8anisatlons
may appolnt up to two representative members upon a resolution at a duly constituted meetin8 of the
committee by the voted of not less than two thlrds of all members of the commlttee. Should co-members
become necessary (maximum of threeL these are also appointed at a duly constituted meetin8 of the
commlttee.
In addition to the members appointed as organisatlon representatives there Is requlred to be not le55 than five
elected members and not more than flfteen.
The object of the Charlty Is to malntain the vlllage hall for the use of the Inhabltants of the Parish of Dalton,
Thirsk. This is without the dlstinction of sex or of political, reli8lous or other opinlons, including use for meetings,
lectures and classes for other forms of recreation and leisure time. With the object of improvlng condltions of
life for the said inhabitants.
The Management Comrnittee aims to provide good facilities at an affordable cost to meet these objectives. An
independent cleaning company Is employed on a weekly basis, but all otherwork required to manage the hall 15
undertaken on an entirely voluntary bas1S.

In line with its objectives, the hall has been used regularly during the year by Parish organisations including
Badminton Club, Senior Citizens. Mums and Tots, W.1, Football Club (shower and changing facllities), the Parish
Church and Parish Council. Handicraft workshops are regularly held together with whist and domino drives. The
hall Is available for celebratory events such as birthdays, weddings, annlversaries, fund raising events and as a
polling station. Use of the hall also includes users beyond the Parish boundaries for bowls, cycling clubs, flower
arranging, band practice and yoga.
As recorded In previous Annual Trustees Reports, refurbishmentof the hall is carried out as and when considered
necessary.
Attached are the audlted accounts for the financial year ended 31" October 2024. The total funds are currently
held in a bank account and decisions regarding these are made at the Management Committee meetin8S.
