**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE SOCIETY SHALL BE TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE STUDY OF LOCAL HISTORY AND GENEALOGY IN SPONDON AND NEIGHBOURHOOD.THE SOCIETY IS ESTABLISHED FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES IN THE AREA COMPRISING THOSE AREAS HISTORICALLY ASSOCIATED WITH SPONDON, WHICH AREA SHALL HEREINAFTER BE REFERRED TO AS THE “AREA OF BENEFIT”.I. TO STIMULATE PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.II.TO PROMOTE HIGH STANDARDS OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.III. TO SECURE THE PRESERVATION, PROTECTION, DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF FEATURES OF HISTORIC OR PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.

**Activities:** Education of the public in the study of local history and genealogy in Spondon and its neighbourhood.  Maintain an archive of material relating to Spondon.
