Activities

The WMHBT was established in 1985, with specialists in the field of building conservation serving as Trustees. It's purpose is to safeguard buildings, at risk, within the West Midlands that are of historical or architectural importance. Where this cannot be achieved by simply raising awareness to the issues the Trust will consider carrying out a conservation project itself.

Objects: The Charity’s Objects are specifically restricted to the following:-3.1 to preserve for the benefit of the inhabitants of the County of West Midlands and of the nation at large, whatever of the historical, architectural and constructional heritage may exist in or around the said county in the form of buildings (including any building as defined in Section 290 (1) of the Town and County Planning Act, 1971) of particular beauty or historical, architectural or constructional interest and to advance the education of the public in the area of benefit with regards to architects, architectural matters, historic buildings, architectures and construction projects.
