**Objects:** THE SOCIETY IS ESTABLISHED TO ENCOURAGE THE PERMANENT PRESERVATION OF TOWNELEY HALL, IT'S GARDENS AND OTHER PUBLIC AMENITIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC GENERALLY AND THE INHABITANTS OF BURNLEY AND PENDLE IN PARTICULAR.

**Activities:** The Society was formed in 1965 to establish a circle of friends of Towneley Hall.  The aim is to help stimulate public interest in the Hall and to protect, preserve and enhance the amenities of the Hall (and gardens). There are also social events at Christmas and Easter. These raise money to provide amenities for the Hall.
