dynamic social life. We work with these
rural young people to help them realise
their full potential so they can become
active and valuable members of their local

continued to delivery our charitable
objectives, these include…
- Our first farm-based Harvest Festival with
approximately 200 members from across
the county attending. We collected for local
foodbank and gave thanks for the harvest.
-Our Annual County Rally was an incredibly
well attended, the first rally back since
COVID after two cancelled year and we
welcomed thousands through the gate. The
day was a fantastic showcase for the skills
of the membership and a brilliant
opportunity to engage with the public and
show of the best of the Young Farmers.
-With the support of the Farm and
Community Network (FCN), we put on our
very first Agri Debate, welcoming five very
accomplished panellists to discuss topics
including agricultural education and rural
wellbeing. As the federation looks to
expand its Agri provision, we look forward
to the appointment of an AGRI Coordinator
who will build on the steps put in place over
the last year.
-We were also delighted to receive the ‘Top
Trainer Award’ at the NFYFC AGM. This
trophy is awarded to the county which
delivers the most training session to
members on topics including Social Media,|
Farm Safety, Mental Health, Safe Driving and many more. The past year has seen a 26% increase in membership across the county (430 to 586). LFYFC is committed to effecting positive changes that increase provisions for the membership, further charitable goals, improve efficiencies and improve compliance.

position despite the financial difficulties
caused by the covid pandemic and the
price of living crisis.
At the end of this period, LFYFC made a
loss of £15,824.17. This was due to funds
being diverted to support clubs’ rebuild
following the covid pandemic.
We were able to fund this loss from our
reserves and from the profit of the previous
year.|
