Section C
Objectives and activities
Muslim Welfare Society, established in 1955 to provide prayer facilities
for Muslims and support for the local community. Muslim Welfare
Society provides religious and educational facilities for the community
of Darlaston. The Society also promotes both Islamic and British values
within the framework of its activiti'es.

The Mosque was constructed in 1986, the Society undertakes
maintenance. and to ensure the building both external and internal

The Society's members voluntarily assist, the deceased's family during
bereavement. when required assisting with all aspects of funeral
arrangements and support to the family.

of the Water Tank Project is complete. Improved Lighting fitments and
energy efficient lights indoor and extemal. LED lighting. This has been
further expanded into classroom environments now.

Children's Classes
Continuous development of moral and social values within the teaching
framework. In house training to staff members conducted. Installation of
Smart Screens to allow a more interactive way of learning.
Bereavement Services
Funeral facilities were updated, and bereavement services were
undertaken this year.

A lication
Planning Application has now been approved by Walsall Council for the
extension of the current building. This is to allow people with disabilities
to attend and ease of access.
Further floor space to allow the Children classes to take place in
designated classrooms.
Proposed extensions and alterations to include 2 no. new minarets, front
entrance feature with dome, new pitched roofs, alterations to outbuilding
to create a mortuary and relatives, room, new doors and windows and
new car park and entrance
We undertook some fundraising for our New Mosque Extension &
Develop project to start the initial phase of Design and Development
RIBA Phase 3.
Fundraising will continue for the lrfecycle of the project, work will be
carried out in phases. Generally. Donations are received from families,
local communty members and the attendees of the Mosque.
